First day at the races for our crew today; we left the dock in good time and headed to the “Rendezvous” start area.
The winds this week are going to be atypical, dominated by weather systems to our north and south disturbing the typical trade wind flow and giving us SE winds, for which the courses in the book aren't really suitable - luckily that is not my problem but Stephen's and Irene's - although I did garner a dirty look or two for bearing bad news.
Despite the winds our team got the course set and the start line layed in good time to get the racers off to a timely start. As the winds were going to be low and somewhat unpredicable the following day our classes (CSA 7, Bareboat classes 1,2,3 and 4) got to do a second race; and the second set of starts and finishes went off without a hitch.
