Today was rearrange-galley and do-the-laundry day all mixed together. The washing machine did an excellent job of cleaning the laundry, but using heat to dry the clothes took an inordinate amount of energy so most of the clothing and towels and sheets ended up in the cockpit or on the lifelines to dry.

Drying laundry on deck After washing the laundry on the machine aboard I opted to let the fluffy stuff that is energy-intensive to dry properly in the machine air outside on deck. Those fluffy covers were life-saving in Annapolis and Norfolk but are a bit too warm for the Caribbean.

Water, Laundry and Sunset The towels are airing and drying on the lifelines as the sunset lights up the clouds over Anguilla as seen from Marigot in St. Martin.
